Climate Change

Even though climate change is partially caused by the natural cycles of Earth, human are still a major part of it. Climate change is the biggest problem of the human being. It is already happening and represents one of the greatest environmental, social and economic threats facing the planet.
The climate can affect every person and our health directly through increases in temperature. Particular segments of the population such as those with heart problems, asthma, the elderly and the very young can be especially vulnerable to extreme heat. There can be extreme floods and droughts, hurricane. Nowadays there are so many factories that exhale really destructive substances and pollute the air. We all know very well that air is something we can’t live without. When we breathe the polluted air, we can get seriously ill. Ground-level ozone can damage lung tissue, and especially harmful for those with asthma and other chronic lung diseases.
Thousands of people will be displaced, and coastal erosion will accelerate. Additionally, higher temperatures will cause problems. Let’s help each other to prevent global warming.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Women in our country and the world at large need to enjoy the same rights as men, without any discrimination, but rather equally. Our mothers must have the right to decent life. They must not be denied their right to live decent and be treated fairly.
To begin with, rights are basic things every human, both men and women, need and must have for our country to function well. Most women in our communities are sometimes maltreated in various ways. Another area where women suffer because they do not have equal rights in the area of marriage many women are forced into marriage at very early stage in their lives.
Equal opportunities for women to work should also be provided if our nation is to make progress. Women should be allowed to work just as men are. As the state, “What men can do, women can do the same and even do it better.” By giving women equal opportunities and equal rights to be educated, to work, to be treated man and woman, will contribute to making a country of progress for all.

My Teacher, My HERO

If you can read this, thank a teacher. A teacher; waking up too early, go to bed too late and thinking about school the whole time. Our second Mom and Dad guiding us protecting us and loving us.

The best teachers don’t give the answers. They just point the way and let you make our own choices, your own mistakes. That way you get all the glory and you deserve it. I know that being a teacher is really hard because they always meet people with different faces and attitudes that can really make them tired. I’m amazed by the teachers because as a student, I know the attitudes of my fellow schoolmates. Some are lazy, not paying attention and don’t have respect for their teachers. Aside from god, my parents and friends; my teacher is also my superhero. Without you, I’m nothing. You guided me when I was lost. You supported me when I was weak. You have enlightened me all through.  What makes superman a hero is not that he has power, but that he has a wisdom and maturity to use the power wisely.

"Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers With with Healthful Defenses towards National Wellness"

All educational institutions across the country, from preschools to tertiary schools, will be celebrating this coming September the National Science Club Month (NSCM).
It is a play on words on ammunition and immunization. We would like our science clubbers to be armed/ to be immune against diseases through imparting knowledge about disease, how they spread, etc. Our goal is not only the science clubbers that benefit from this knowledge but also their school and communities and thus leading to national wellness.
Virus can only be treated by specific anti-microbial agent and antibiotics should never be prescribed for viral infections. Defenses are very important for us.

Modern Day Hero

What makes superman a hero is not that he has power, but that he has wisdom and maturity to use the power wisely. Every person has their own hero and reasons. Anybody can be a hero. Anybody without powers can be a hero.

My father is my greatest hero, because he's always protecting me, he care for me and he's doing all to make me happy. Honestly speaking, he's a strict person but I always understand him because I know that he have his own reasons why. He's over-protective but I know he's doing that because he wants to protect me all the time. Not all superheroes have superpowers, some superheroes are ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. SOMEONE who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom. My Father is my Hero.

Aside from God, Teachers and my Mother. My father is also my hero, without him I'm nothing. Without him, I'm incomplete. Without him, I'm not going to be happy.

REFLECTION

In this air-conditioned room, I learned a lot of things. I learned many things about the Internet and I learned how to make blogs. Many students are always expecting that the ICT subject is easier than the other subjects, because all they know is ICT is all about Internet and editing pictures. This subject is not easy, because ICT for me is very challenging. At first, as a student I am lazy to type my blogs. I am lazy to post and make an essay for the given topic.
Moving on, and of course I will apply my knowledge to my everyday .Goodbye 1st Grading Period, thank you for the lessons and thanks for challenging me.

Hello Second Grading Period! Bear with me.

State of the Nation Address (SONA)

President Benigno Aquino III successfully delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City and discussed matters regarding the country’s economy, defenses, public works, education, and many more. The last SONA is celebrated last July 28, 2014. Many people turned on their television and radio just to listen the speech and explanation of the president regarding to the problems of our country.

President Noynoy, or PNoy also addressed those keen to bring his administration down. Unfortunately, he did not delve deeper into the controversial Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) that many of the citizens and critiques have been waiting for. The DAP merely received a notable mention with, of course, slight defense. SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of the government on education, social services, economy, improvement, infrastructure, calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after typhoons and earthquake, modernization of AFP, security, ARMM Bangsamoro and livelihood. It is common that every SONA, the President always make promises. Here are the some of the action items of the Aquino government for the next months or year: Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike bidding by end of 2014, Open alternative roads to EDSA, Opening of the Palawan Busuanga Airport, Push Bangsamoro Basic Law, Ensure enough supply of power to meet the growing energy demand, 2.606 trillion for 2015 National Budget.

PNoy also failed to include the passage of the Freedom of Information (FOI) bill in his SONA. The measure aims to eliminate corruption in the bureaucracy by giving the public greater access to government transactions and records.

"Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan"

Nutrition Month 2014 aims to promote inventions to address nutritional needs in emergencies and disasters including preparedness. We are all aware that our country had gone through several disasters. We have to ensure that we will have enough food and proper nutrition. To focus on nutrition, in emergencies aims to provide venue for the general public to realize the importance of preparedness during emergencies, how to respond and what recovery measures can be taken to prevent death and worsening of malnutrition of affected population group.
Here in the Philippines children are suffering because of malnutrition. Scarcity and Malnutrition is a serious problem in our country because the victims are children.

Benigno Aquino III

Mr. President

Warm greetings Sir!
First of all I would like to introduce myself. I’m Charizza Mae Reclusado, from Cabaroan Sta. Catalina Ilocos Sur. I’m a student of Ilocos Sur National High School.
As a student I may not know all about politics. But Sir, I’m aware and worried about the Sand mining here in Sta. Catalina Beach. The sand and sea walls  are drowning , the water at the beach are getting closer to the roads, hotels and houses. I'm worried because the Sta. Catalina beach is not safe anymore. Many people don't want to swim their because it's too dangerous for them. Many fishermen are complaining because the fishes are dying cause by Sand mining.
I heard that they already wrote three letters to you Sir. So far, the place has not responded yet. Sand mining is illegal, residents have been complaining of subsidence, a gradual caving in or sinking of an area of land and coastal erosion.

Sincerely yours,
Charizza Mae Reclusado
